Ray Gomes
After graduating from the University of Massachusetts in 1967 with a MA in Mathematics, Mr. Gomes began his career with the Department of Defense as a crypto-mathematics analyst, and spent much of his early career in research and development as a software engineer. Before leaving Government service in 1978, Mr. Gomes held positions as a software manager and project manager in a mission applications development office. Prior to ESI, his private sector experience included positions as a software engineer, systems engineer, project manager, department manager, and associate program manager.
Mike Dalpee
Mr. Dalpee's long career in the industry began as a software engineer after graduating with a BSEE from the University of Maryland in 1976. He earned a MSCS from the University of Maryland in 1982, and in 1980, Mr. Dalpee began his intelligence community career as a contractor, where he led software development activities. As a result of this experience, he invented a distributed software communication model, described in a 1993 IEEE Parallel & Distributed Technology article entitled "Beyond RPC: The Virtual Network." In 1995, Mr. Dalpee was a key reviewer and contributor to Grady Booch's seminal object-oriented development book, Object Solutions.
Judy Zadjura
Ms. Zadjura has spent over 30 years in the Federal government and industry serving the Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence Community as a Software Engineer, Project Manager, and Program Director. In 1978, Ms. Zadjura graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore with a BA in Mathematics and began her career as a computer science professional with the DoD, where she held several positions of technical leadership in software and networking programs. After departing Federal government service, Ms. Zadjura received a Masters of Engineering Science degree in Computer Science from Loyola College in 1985. For the past 25 years, she has continued to support the intelligence community as a Software Engineer and Program Manager. Ms. Zadjura is certified as a Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP).
Rick Hoyle
Mr. Hoyle graduated from American University with a Master's degree in Computer Science in 1978. He immediately began Federal service in the Intelligence Community as an Associate Computer Scientist, and completed his tenure as a Work Center Chief in 1986 when he entered private industry. Prior to ESI, Mr. Hoyle supported Intelligence Community initiatives as a software engineer, systems analyst, software, project and program manager, operations manager, and strategic business director. Mr. Hoyle was certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute in September 2006.
Mark Walch
Mr. Walch recently joined the ESI team as the Director of Information Technology Programs. Consistent with the corporate vision conceived in the inception of the company, his goal is to help ESI continue maximum customer satisfaction with a highly motivated and technically astute workforce. Mr. Walch brings over 40 years of government service to ESI.
Mr. Walch began his career with the Department of Defense as an Engineering Student Assistant while attending the University of Detroit-Mercy. After graduation with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Master of Engineering, he received an Air Force Commission and was assigned as an engineer to the Department of Defense at Ft Meade for four years. Upon leaving the Air Force, he resumed his civilian career serving as a systems engineer, program manager, systems acquisition manager, line organization manager, and senior executive. Mr. Walch's assignments included the Research and Engineering, Technology and Systems, Operations, Signals Intelligence, Education and Training, Information Technology, and Technology Directorates. He also served in external assignments on the Community Management Staff and at the Department of Homeland Security.
David Thompson
Mr. Thompson joined ESI in August 2002 as the Business Manager. He became the Director of Business Operations in October 2008, with a broad scope of responsibility which includes finance, contracts, and human resources. Prior to joining ESI, Mr. Thompson was a Financial Analyst at a major defense contractor. He has over 10 years of experience providing all aspects of contractual and financial management support to the DoD Intelligence Community.
