An ESi Software Engineer was on the team that won the USTA Women’s 3.5 National Championship in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, October 18 – 20, 2019. The team, self named “A LEEgue Of Our Own,” (The team coach’s last name was Lee), represented the Mid Atlantic States (MD, DC and VA). To win first place, the team won a 4 match round robin tournament followed by semifinals and finals for the 4 top teams from the round robin tournament. The Champions from 17 regions were invited to the tournament. This tournament was the culmination of a competition whittled down from almost 3,000 teams with 44,000 players from local competition, to sectionals, then to regionals.
