On Thursday, June 20th, our large conference room was transformed into a Red Cross donation center! Employees stopped by, through out the day to give blood and save lives – an estimated 50 lives total! Employees were given the option to provide a regular “Whole Blood” donation, or a “Power Red” donation. A Whole Blood donation takes about 5 – 10 minutes. It’s used to help trauma patients and people undergoing surgery and can save up to 3 lives. A Power Red donation takes about an hour and a half, but it is used to help trauma patients, newborns, emergency transfusions during birth, people with sickle cell anemia and anyone suffering from blood loss. It saves up to 6 lives! We are so thankful to all who came out and we are looking forward to the next blood drive!
